FAQs

What Materials are used?
Each clothing listing will have the fabrics used listed. We currently use Cotton Jersey, French Terry, Bamboo Towelling, some linen/cotton fabrics with cotton rib-knit fabrics for the waistbands/ankle cuffs where applicable. We use OEKO TEX 100 fabrics as a minimum which means they are free from harmful substances. Organic fabrics will be noted in the product names.

Do you have a sizing chart?
This is something we have been working on, however due to the massive influx of orders I have not had a chance to progress this to cover all items. Feedback from customers say that the leggings are generously sized. They are designed to ensure your little ones have space to grow and are cut to be longer than usual.
See our sizing chart for leggings here

Who makes the clothes?
Simple… I do. Every part of Toddle and Born is done by my own hands – with the exception of the occasional help from my Mum cutting fabric and my husband constructing the boxes they are posted in. From building and managing the website, ordering fabric, cutting orders, sewing them together, sewing on the labels, tying on the swing tags, to finally putting the address label on the box, it’s me!
Why is everything made to order?
As a small independent business, to prevent waste we construct orders as they come in. We hope to expand in future to allow for garments to be pre-made and ready to be dispatched within 48 hours, however this wont ever happen at the expense of the quality of the garments and will always be 'in-house'.
How do I look after the pieces?
Each garment will come with care instructions on their swing tags and you can also find them on most of the products listings on the site. Although it does differ for different garments, general rule of thumb is to wash with similar colours on a 30’ wash. Ideally hang dry, however they can tolerate a gentle tumble dry but this will reduce the longevity of the items. There can be a 5% shrink on the first wash but by cutting larger seam allowances and the stretchy nature of the fabrics, this shouldn’t cause any issues. Please don’t bleach... we use gorgeous prints and would hate to see them ruined!
The branded Toddle and Born Cotton labels on the garments will naturally soften and potentially fray over time.
Do you accept returns?
We do – however postage is at your own expense. Please email us toddleandborn@gmail.com

Are the pieces you make good quality?
Yes. Every seam is finished using an over locker, and the labels are sewn in using a sewing machine using cotton thread. I’m very fussy about the fabrics I choose to use for the garments, so rest assured they will always be good quality. Please see our reviews to get an idea of what people have told us about our pieces.
Where can I can I see whats coming next?
I suggest you follow me on Instagram, this is where I will display any new fabrics first!
